Burford MP, Philip Dunne, has welcomed confirmation of works to improve the road surface at the junction over the bridge between Tenbury and Burford.

Mr Dunne had raised the issue of poor road surface at the Swan Garage on Teme Street with Shropshire Council, who have confirmed it is now part of their Capital Surfacing Scheme and will be completed in January 2024.

Mr Dunne said:

“I raised this issue on behalf on local residents, so I am pleased Shropshire Council are acting to fix the poor state of the road at the Swan Garage junction. It receives a significant amount of traffic, and the road surface will not have been improved by recent weather. I look forward to seeing these works completed in January next year.”
