Ashford Carbonnel Village Hall was the scene of a lively fund raising event for the local parish church last Friday night.

A Question Time panel was chaired by local vicar Richard Green.

Members of the panel were Michael Hooper, Bishop of Ludlow, local MP Philip Dunne, former High Sherriff of Shropshire, Julian Morgan, and Shrewsbury School teacher Jim Sheppe.

The village hall hosted a capacity crowd who posed topical questions to the panel in the style of the BBC Question Time.

Philip Dunne commented today: "We were not given the questions in advance, but the Bishop had a distinct advantage, with one of his parish clergy chairing the panel and another in the audience. But as it was in aid of the church we were all delighted to join in the fun."
