Philip Dunne MP welcomed to the House of Commons Mr Fotique Miah, of Bilash, at 14a High Street, Much Wenlock winner of the best South Asian Restaurant in the Ludlow constituency in a competition run by The Tiffin Club of MPs. This annual competition aims not only to celebrate the quality of South Asian food in Britain but also raise much needed money for charity.

Winners from 65 constituencies were invited to the 2007 Tiffin Cup launch at the Moti Mahal restaurant in Covent Garden. Afterwards Mr Dunne gave Mr Miah a tour of the House of Commons. Much Wenlock's Bilash Restaurant received a clear majority of nominations in the Ludlow Constituency.

Mr Dunne said: "I was impressed by the number of people who took the trouble to nominate Bilash as the best South Asian restaurant in the Ludlow Constituency. I even had a couple of nominations from people who were visiting the county. Comments mentioned the efficient and friendly service and excellent value for money."

"Bilash will be put forward now for the competition to find the best South Asian Restaurant in Britain, the results of which will be announced later this year."

Mr Miah said: "It was a great pleasure to be able to visit the House of Commons with our local MP. I am proud that Bilash has been honoured this way and have invited Philip Dunne to have a meal when our new license is approved."
