Philip Dunne is backing the Children's Society invitation to have their say as part of the society's Good Childhood Inquiry. - the UK's first independent inquiry into childhood.

In September last year both adults and children from throughout the UK were invited to have their say on what makes for a good childhood. Already there has been a fantastic response, but the Society is still looking to gather the views of children and young people.

This can be done in a number of ways, either on-line via www.mylife.uk.com where children can submit their views as well as keep up-to-date with what their peers have told the Society, or by telephoning the Society on 0845 600 8585 to obtain a postcard to fill in.

Philip Dunne said "The Children's Society is working closely with children and young people to create a new vision of childhood for the twenty-first century. Childhood expectations and pressures are very different now to what they were 10-15 years ago, it is important that children feel able to express their hopes for the future through such a forum.

I encourage parents to draw this to the attention of their children during the Easter holidays."
