Philip Dunne seeks support from AWM for Olympics legacy project for Much Wenlock in the run up to 2012.Commenting on news of a £10 million investment in the Ironbridge Gorge Museum, a World Heritage Site, Philip Dunne MP for Ludlow which borders the site said today: "Investment in improving the visitor experience and facilities at the Blists Hills Victorian Town is of course welcome. Advantage West Midlands (AWM) is stressing the importance of tourism to the area, especially in the run-up to the 2012 Olympics.

I am delighted to learn they are thinking along these lines and have therefore written to AWM today to seek their support for an Olympics legacy project for Much Wenlock to support its case for a prominent role in the run up to 2012 and beyond."
