"The Government has shown once again that it is not listening to those in rural areas. This Government has managed the decline of business it places through post offices. Now it has decided to bring down the axe on the post offices themselves.

After a lengthy consultation the Government has ignored the pleas of those concerned to maintain post offices as vital lifelines in particular in rural areas.

When the time comes for the review of post offices in Shropshire I shall work to limit the damage to our communities."
