Ludlow has been named the best "Great Town in England" by the Academy of Urbanisation.

Commenting on this award, Philip Dunne, Ludlow MP and District Councillor for the town centre of Ludlow said:

"I was pleased to back the bid and am delighted that Ludlow's status as a special town has been recognised once again with this national award.

Well done to all involved.

It is the people of Ludlow, with their strong culture of volunteering to benefit the community, which with the town's architectural heritage helps make Ludlow so special."
