Dunne visits Onny Primary School

South Shropshire MP Philip Dunne visited Onny Church of England Primary School on Friday 2nd December to meet staff and pupils at the village school.

Onny CofE School forms one half of the St Michael’s Federation along with Lydbury North CofE Primary School. As well as aiming for educational and academic success, the federation is based on the Christian values of thankfulness, compassion, perseverance, justice, service and truthfulness.

Dunne said,

“It was a great pleasure to speak to pupils at Onny Primary who were enthusiastic and well behaved on my visit. The school in Onibury is thriving with 65 pupils currently enrolled and numbers expected to grow by 10 next year. Our rural community depends heavily on village schools, so it is fantastic to see Onny Primary delivering high quality education and growing its student-base giving confidence for the future.”
