The MP toured the delivery office to see how Royal Mail deals with the mountains of festive mail. Mr Dunne said: "I was pleased to meet some of the hardworking staff who are delivering such a first class Christmas for Bridgnorth residents."

Mr Dunne made an early start to meet Steve Hewitt, Delivery Office Manager, and some of the 40 postmen and women responsible for ensuring that Bridgnorth's massive Christmas mailbag is delivered to over 11,000 addresses at Royal Mail's busiest time of year.

The visit was just in time to post any cards and presents for delivery before Christmas with the last recommended date on Tuesday 19th December for First Class mail.
