The loss of over 100 manufacturing jobs follows hard on the heels of last year's loss of another 100 jobs in the town.

The company has cited a combination of high energy costs and competition from low wage economies. I raised energy issues with Advantage West Midlands and Government Ministers last year warning of possible consequences.

Now I am calling on local authorities and AWM to work together to seek to attract new employers into Bridgnorth and offer training to reskill those whose jobs are under threat."
