Chief Superintendent Guy Rutter was guest speaker at Bridgnorth Conservative Business Forum breakfast meeting today. He spelt out his policing priorities for the county after 6 months in the role. He aims to improve detection rates from 27% closer to the 40% achieved when he was Divisional Commander in Herefordshire.

Philip Dunne, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Bridgnorth, who chaired the meeting, praised Chief Superintendent Rutter's focus on reducing crime, in particular drug related crime in the area. He said today "Chief Superintendent Rutter is a strong ambassador for the police force in Shropshire. He demonstrated his clear commitment to reducing crime in the area and has a number of interesting innovations which he hopes to apply from his time as force commander in neighbouring Herefordshire. We were delighted to welcome him to the Bridgnorth Conservative Business Forum".
