Philip Dunne MP joined other supporters at the Friends of Oak Farm event during Carers’ Week last month in Ditton Priors.
Mr Dunne said: “Oak Farm is a wonderful resource in the heart of the Shropshire countryside, providing therapeutic horticulture and animal husbandry activities for some of the most vulnerable within our community. It is a leader in its field and I was pleased to have been able to join many of the volunteers who help support its activities during their recent Open Day.”
Mr Dunne added: “I am supporting Ditton Priors Parish Council with local Shropshire Councillor, Robert Tindall, in efforts to establish a Community Land Trust to create communal ownership of Oak Farm. These are early days, but this is an exciting opportunity for individuals to become involved with the Trust to hold and protect the asset that the land and buildings represent for the long term benefit of the local community. Anyone who wishes to support this initiative in Ditton Priors should contact Cllr Robert Tindall or the Parish Council.”
