MP backs Bridgnorth Lions fund raising for Haiti
Philip Dunne MP supported Bridgnorth Lions Club members collecting for Haiti in the town last Saturday.
Mr Dunne said: "The scenes of devastation in Haiti have affected many people in this country and around the world. Many have responded magnificently by sending contributions to help the relief effort.
Shropshire has responded well too, and I was delighted to be able to support the efforts of Bridgnorth Lions Club who were raising street collections last week."
Colin Thomas of Bridgnorth Lions said: "We were delighted with the backing of our MP amongst many others in Bridgnorth for this emergency relief effort. Bridgnorth Lions Club has made a meaningful contribution to the US$350,000 already raised for the people of Haiti by Lions Clubs International.
We were very grateful for all the donations made."
