Philip Dunne comments on the news that the West Midlands Strategic Health Authority has approved the Strategic Outline Case from Shropshire County PCT.Improved health facilities in Ludlow moved a step closer on Tuesday this week when the West Midlands Strategic Health Authority approved the Strategic Outline Case from Shropshire County PCT.
Ludlow MP Philip Dunne welcomed the news, saying:
"This is excellent news. Ludlow Community Hospital has been the poor relation of Shropshire's community hospitals for years. While there is much hard work to be done, this decision offers the prospect for 21st century healthcare services in 21st century facilities for residents around Ludlow.
"I have arranged for the next meeting of the Ludlow Health Facility Forum to brief local community leaders and interest groups on Thursday 18th February to discuss the next steps so that momentum can be maintained to move the scheme forward."
