Ludlow Conservatives raise funds for Haiti

Ludlow Conservatives last week held a successful fund raising drinks event in Worthen. The event was originally organised to raise funds for Philip Dunne's campaign for re-election as MP for Ludlow. But in response to the earthquake disaster in Haiti, a collection was taken on the door and raised £150 to contribute to relief efforts.

Philip Dunne MP said:

"We urgently need to get food, shelter and medicine through to the survivors of this awful disaster. There is legitimate frustration about the amount of time it is taking to get the basic necessities of life through to those who need them. There is an urgent need for clearer lines of organisation and control and proper coordination of the relief effort.
