Local MP welcomes new road safety measures in Worthen

Philip Dunne, MP for Ludlow has welcomed Shropshire Council’s decision to put up new signage and road markings in Worthen to combat speeding through the village.

“Local residents have been campaigning for some time to highlight the problems and dangers that speeding motorists create, particularly for the very elderly and the young. I have supported their efforts with letters to Shropshire Council.

These new measures are very welcome indeed. I do hope that they prove effective and that local residents will feel and be safer as a result.”
