Dunne visits Bridgnorth Delivery Office
Local MP Philip Dunne visited Royal Mail's Delivery office in Bridgnorth on Monday morning to see for himself the challenge of delivering the Christmas post.
Mr Dunne was welcomed by Acting Manager Martin Jones and met many of the 28 post men and women who sort the post and deliver it to 14,000 local residents in Bridgnorth and the surrounding area.
Mr Dunne said: "I was very pleased to be able to meet many of the hard working men and women who do so much to make sure that our post gets delivered to spread a little joy at Christmas. It is a particularly demanding time of the year with many more parcels delivered to individual addresses than usual."
Mr Dunne is Secretary of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Post Offices and has taken an active interest in maintaining the network of Sorting Offices and Post Offices, especially in rural areas.
