Dunne opens restaurant

Philip Dunne MP officially opened Baptiste & Susan Lamont's new restaurant at Swancote Country Club on Friday.

Mr Dunne was joined by local Shropshire Councillor Christian Lea and other customers from Bridgnorth and the surrounding area.

Mr Dunne said: "This is a brave time to be starting a new restaurant business, but fortune often favours those bold enough to venture forth where others fear to tread.

Baptiste Lamont and his wife Susan demonstrated they have a keen eye for an opportunity and, if their canapes are anything to go by, will set new standards for fine dining in the Bridgnorth area.

I wish them well in their new venture at Swancote."

Baptiste Lamont said: "It was an honour to have our MP Philip Dunne with us officially to launch our new restaurant. All are welcome to try our new cuisine."
