Dunne Congratulates Ludlow’s Hendra House
Ludlow Care Home Hendra House has another reason to celebrate this week when Lindsey Giess, Team Leader came third in the World Skills Olympics organised jointly by the National Skills Academy – Care and UK Skills in London this week.
Lindsey and fellow finalist Gemma Ingram visited the House of Commons with Hendra House Proprietor Vince Burmingham ahead of the ceremony.
Mr Dunne said: “I was pleased to be able to make Lindsey and Gemma’s visit to London even more memorable by giving them a personal tour of the House of Commons. I was particularly thrilled to learn that Lindsey had won the bronze medal in this national competition. I have seen at first hand the attention which Hendra House pays to training its staff so it is great news for their staff and residents that this has been recognised at National level.”
Vince Burmingham said: “Lindsey and Gemma’s achievement fully justifies our ongoing investment to staff development.
Accolades such as these recognise individual achievement, but more importantly it highlights the levels of skills consistently demonstrated by all of our staff thereby enabling us to deliver a quality service to all of our residents.
We thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour of Westminster, and would like to thank Mr Dunne for taking time out of his busy schedule, (especially on budget day), to recognise the achievements of both Lindsey and Gemma”.
